Blessed Sunday :)

Going to church at 10.30am today... just woke up. Thank you Mr Tan Kwan Sim for your feedbacks...:D It touches me deeply too for someone to actually read my story like you did. Everybody else is busy! Well, we are our master of time. Everybody got 24 hours... 8 hours sleep, 8 hours Play, 8 hours work as Jesus intended...:D

Continuation of the Journey

You see , I was the baby of the family. In the house, I'll be the servant. Helping mom folding the clothes; my sister paid me 50 cents to wash her gigantic shoes size 7! my eldest brother Steven asking me to help him like holding the hose when he was cleaning the aquarium; my second brother Ivan asking for scissors or anything else; I'll be their servant. The boy that obeyed everything, right down to the level of the maid! Haha! :)

I was like Oliver Twist in Charles Dicken's book. I pictured myself as Mark Lester. When I saw Oliver! The movie on TV ...it was part of the Dunhill Film Festival on TV2. I told myself, " I want to be an actor like Mark someday!" Famous and handsome and all the girls will be running after me for an autograph! :)

I remembered sitting on the toilet and singing "Where is Love?" pretending to be Mark! I wished I knew him personally. He had a voice of an Angel. From then on, I started fantasising about becoming a child actor in Hollywood! I wanted to become Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone!, Elijah Wood from Forever Young, Joseph Mazello from The Cure, Max Pomeranc from Searching for Bobby Fischer; Hal Scardino from the Indian in the Cupboard....etc

I was in love with films! Free Willy 1993. I watched it with Penny in the old Federal Cinema. I was so excited I bought the soundtrack. My first soundtrack; a cassette! Cost me RM 11.90 of my allowance. I listened to it over and over again. I pretended I was Jason James Ricthter! the boy that played Jesse in the movie. I imagined I had a gigantic friend Willy the orca. What a coincident my dad's name is also Willy. :D Now I wanted to be a film director! Make movie in Hollywood! A screenplay Writer...a cinematographer...Everything about movies! My escape from real life was the movies.

Good morning!!! Blessed CNY everyone!

Good morning to all, it's 5.28am and I just woke up... Have to go to the bank to settle some credit card debts later... Might go watch Bedtime Stories with friends later...or with my best friend, Chee Hong. Let's see what happens today... will definitely visit some relatives... Chee Hong got a job in Sales! So happy for him!

Happy Chinese New Year : Ox Year!

Hi readers, Just got back from a bout of illness. Was hospitalised for 12 days; Jan 12th to Jan 23rd in Melaka GH. But now back home just finished dinner with mom and dad. Today is also my niece, Caryn's 9th Birthday! had a celebration at lunch.

So sit back and enjoy the festive mood !!!

Ox Year!! Must work hard and sweat a lot like a dog! Baru boleh berjaya!!

Continuation of the Journey

Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. I just want to help sick people and make them well; especially sick children and old people. Therefore, I worked hard in school. I actually like school. School was somewhere where I could be myself and be happy. School was my sanctuary from home.

I remembered that I was a very timid boy; not a word unless I was spoken to; a very quiet boy. In my kindergarten report card, it was stated: “ Very quiet but intelligent”.
